HIGH COURT SESSION:Imo Legal Community Bids Farewell to Three Distinguished Lawyers | Owerri, Imo State | July 24, 2026

The legal community in Imo State has paid glowing tributes to three distinguished legal practitioners Chief Barr. A. N. Ukwuegbu (Okpudo 1), Barr. Fred Onyewuchi Emereuwaonu, Esq., and Barr. Uche Charles Osuji whose lives and contributions to the legal profession were celebrated during separate funeral and valedictory ceremonies.

At the High Court valedictory session in honour of Barr. Fred Emereuwaonu, the Acting Chief Judge of Imo State, Hon. Justice I. O. Agugua, described the late lawyer as a man of integrity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to justice, urging members of the Bar to emulate his exemplary life.

Colleagues, family members, and members of various lawyers' forums also paid heartfelt tributes to Chief A. N. Ukwuegbu, aged 77, and Barr. Uche Charles Osuji, aged 60, remembering them for their outstanding service, mentorship, and lasting impact on the legal profession.

The ceremonies concluded with prayers for the peaceful repose of their souls and renewed calls for lawyers to uphold the values of professionalism, integrity, and service that the three distinguished legal icons exemplified throughout their lives.
